Welcome to VCPC
We are the Virginia Cooperative Preschool Council, the umbrella organization for parent cooperative preschools in Northern Virginia. We offer a forum for sharing ideas and information; provide assistance to member schools; encourage continuing education for parents; and increase community awareness of and to strengthen the parent cooperative movement.
A cooperative preschool recognizes that parents are the primary educators of their children. It encourages mothers and fathers to share their interests and talents in the classroom, on the Board of Directors, or on committees. This direct parental effort and involvement make the cooperative preschool a unique educational opportunity.
